BSB41515 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice – TCEO (Group 2)

Why should I take this course?

Project management is a powerful tool for addressing the complex needs of today’s organisations.

Unlike narrowly focused fields – such as HR, marketing, finance or IT – project management brings together an array of skill sets spanning creative and critical thinking, leadership, risk, change and stakeholder management.

Simply put, project management provides a structured yet flexible framework for tackling a diverse range of initiatives faster, better and in a cost-efficient manner.

That is why project management is the most in-demand occupation in the world today.

What will I learn?

The Institute of Project Management’s BSB41515 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice is primarily delivered via a dynamic, real-time, digital learning environment for strictly capped cohorts of up to 15 candidates.

Our expert facilitators leverage your latent project experience, connecting a common frame of reference, common purpose and common-sense approach to the cohesive delivery and oversight of professional and personal projects.

Over 12 x 2-hour online sessions, dedicated project teams progress through a range of practical activities in the delivery of a fully simulated project.

That’s just a webinar, isn’t it?

The virtual classroom is a genuine, peer-to-peer facilitated learning experience that goes beyond the traditional text-book, video or PowerPoint pedagogy.

Unlike most webinars today, classroom sessions are 100% live with no pre-recorded content.

You cannot just ‘press play’ and listen to a lecture – the level of interaction demanded through discussion, breakout participation and collaborative portfolio building means that your classmates are depending on you to stay actively engaged and contributing throughout.

What are the tech requirements?

Because we use ZOOM to collaborate, virtual classes can be accessed via any desktop computer or iOS / Android tablet or phone.

Our breakout feature also makes it easy for you to actively participate, work together and exchange ideas with your peers, and you can virtually raise your hand at any time to get the facilitators’ attention and ask questions.

Is there homework?

The workshops are self-contained in that you complete assessment activities in class with no on-going homework requirements.

That said, to graduate the BSB41515 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice you are required to identify a project you have recently made a significant contribution to and critically reflect upon its performance.

This capstone report is completed using the template provided and undertaken at the completion of the workshop series with full mentor support.

Where will it take me?

The BSB41515 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice is a prerequisite for candidates considering the BSB51415 Diploma of Project Management.

We discuss in the workshop series how candidates can use the Cert IV to significantly fast-track completion of the Diploma.
